Choosing a real estate agent could be the most important decision you make in life. If you're in Cape Town, you now have a team committed to your success. Century 21's City Bowl branch officially launched this month. The swanky event, held at their posh new office in Bree Street, marks an exciting new chapter for Cape Town real estate. Century 21 caught up with co-owner, Frans Jordaan-Viljoen, to find out why he joined the coalition.
"We've been looking at real estate options for some time now, but always had one criterion: 'brand power'", says Jordaan-Viljoen. "We could not have wished for a better opportunity than joining a global brand with such a large footprint and track record."
A worldwide leader in real estate, Century 21 has a presence in 83 countries and territories. With more than 12,600 offices and 147,000 property professionals, the brand is recognised globally.
"Everything about the brand and the people associated with it appealed to us", says Jordaan-Viljoen. "We love the crisp and clean design elements of the brand and its affluent look and feel. The bold and appealing marketing and also the conservation aspect through supporting Save the Rhino International - it all just has such a good feel about it. We were also impressed by the rate at which the brand grew in South Africa recently. Century 21 just ticked all the right boxes!"
Century 21 City Bowl's areas
Century 21's property franchises are awarded on an exclusive basis. Century 21 City Bowl will solely cover the entire City Bowl of Cape Town. This area is nestled in a 'bowl' by Table Mountain as the backdrop and Devil's Peak, Lion's Head, and Signal Hill on the sides. It extends from Woodstock, Walmer Estate, and Salt River in the East to Bo-Kaap and Tamboerskloof in the West, from Oranjezicht and Vredehoek against Table Mountain, to Foreshore and De Waterkant next to the harbour.
Other suburbs include the CBD, Gardens, and Zonnebloem - formerly part of "District Six". The branch's most exclusive suburb is Higgovale, situated high up against Table Mountain with spectacular day and night views across the city and Table Bay.
Century 21 City Bowl's services
According to Jordaan-Viljoen, potential clients will enjoy a wide range of comprehensive real estate solutions. This extends to buyers and sellers alike, both local and international, and those looking for a new place to call home or purely a buy-to-let investment. Apart from residential sales and rentals, Century 21 City Bowl also offers commercial sales and rentals.
The branch will even assist clients with property and rental management solutions for their short-term holiday rentals (Airbnb) through their sister company. All in all, Century 21 City Bowl is a one-stop real estate shop for all property-related needs in Cape Town.
Century 21 City Bowl's team
The agency's team is new to the industry. But, they have an eagerness to learn through the training provided by Century 21's National Training Academy and are en-route to be real estate rockstars very soon.
"We're a close-knit family-run business with a family focus", says Jordaan-Viljoen. "We believe we provide value to our team and any agent considering joining us. This includes attractive incentives, aggressive marketing, training, admin support, and monthly recognition and rewards. And then there's also being associated with and working from the most beautiful real estate office in Cape Town."
Jordaan-Viljoen believes their 'energacity' will make them the desired dream team to sellers, buyers, and colleagues alike. Already they've managed to secure some exciting listings in the area.
Century 21 City Bowl's property of the moment
16 On Bree is the tallest residential tower in Cape Town. This 36-storey residential project with complementary retail offers spectacular views of the mountain, sea, and cityscape. It is due for completion towards the end of February 2021. Century 21 City Bowl is offering the chance to snap up some of the last remaining units. Prices range from R1,750,000 for a studio apartment to R32,000,000 for the penthouse on the 36th floor.
Century 21 City Bowl's future plans
Jordaan-Viljoen say the team is working hard to build a name for themselves. They're already making moves to expand their reach in the Western Cape.
"Our immediate plan and goal are to gain as much visibility, exposure, brand awareness, and market share as possible. We are seriously considering opening the Atlantic Seaboard office as soon as possible. As owners, we have been involved in numerous community projects in the past and that is set to continue."
